The 2026 Absa Chairman’s Bell Golf Tournament got off to a thrilling start on Monday, 13th July at the Uganda Golf Club, Kitante in Kampala city. First in the fray was the newly introduced caddies’ tournament with a total of 71 caddies in action. This new addition to the week-long event has been hailed as a groundbreaking move to recognize the contributions of caddies to the sport. Atinoi and Namanda shone brightly, emerging as the top performers in the inaugural tournament. Organizers say the caddies’ competition will now become a permanent fixture, elevating the status of caddies within the golfing community.
