Union Minister for Women and Child Development Annpurna Devi met with the First Lady of the Philippines, Louise Araneta-Marcos, in New Delhi on September 12. Earlier the same day, Minister Devi hosted Zahra Pezeshkian, daughter of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, at the BRICS Bazaar held at the National Crafts Museum in New Delhi. Accompanied by her husband, Hassan Majidi, Ms. Pezeshkian toured the exhibition, which features textiles, handicrafts, and cultural displays from BRICS member and partner nations.
The BRICS Bazaar, themed “Crafting Cultures, Connecting People,” is organized by the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Textiles. The event is scheduled to run from September 10 to 15, coinciding with India’s hosting of the 18th BRICS Summit, which is taking place at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi from September 12 to 13.
