US pledges $20 million to Bolivia to combat drug trafficking and organized crime

The United States has committed $20 million to Bolivia to strengthen its fight against drug trafficking and organized crime, the US International Narcotics and Law Enforcement (INL) office announced. INL Deputy Assistant Secretary Cartwright Weiland is currently in Bolivia to formalize the support. The funding will be used to enhance law enforcement capabilities and disrupt criminal networks operating in the region. Bolivia is a major transit country for cocaine, and the aid underscores continued US engagement in South American counter-narcotics efforts.
