Shani Abeysekara, the Director of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and Senior Superintendent of Police, has been promoted to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG).
According to recent developments, the Administrative Appeals Tribunal had ordered Abeysekara’s promotion to the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police. This order was subsequently communicated to the National authorities, leading to his promotion.
