President Droupadi Murmu has extended a direct invitation to Romanian businesses to participate in India’s economic growth, calling the potential between the two countries largely untapped.
Addressing the India-Romania Business Forum in Bucharest on Friday, she described India as one of the world’s fastest-growing major economies, driven by sound macroeconomic fundamentals.
The President highlighted India’s stable policy environment and growing market as key attractions for foreign investors. She urged Romanian firms to explore opportunities in sectors such as IT, pharmaceuticals, and infrastructure.
The forum aimed to strengthen bilateral trade and investment ties, with both sides expressing interest in deepening economic cooperation. Murmu’s pitch comes amid India’s broader push to attract foreign investment as part of its growth agenda.
