The Ogre municipality has announced a diverse program of cultural and recreational events scheduled for the weekend of September 19 and 20. The offerings include fairs, musical performances, film screenings, and educational workshops designed for residents and families.
On September 19, the Rudens pasakums fair will take place at Ozolinu Park in Ikskile starting at 9:00 a.m. The Ogre Cultural Center will host the musical production Richijs Ru lauku seta at 11:00 a.m. In Madliena, the animated film Laimigie will be screened at the local cultural house at 12:00 p.m. for an admission fee of 3 euros.
The Kulturaudze event series in Ogre concludes on September 19 with a full day of activities, including ceramic and printing workshops, an architectural walking tour, and a 20:00 p.m. performance by musicians Evilena Protektore and Stanislavs Judins. Participation is free, though advance registration is required by calling 20724242. Additionally, the Suntažu amateur theater Sauja will present the production Vakari ciematā pie Dikankas at the Suntazi Cultural House at 17:00 p.m., with tickets priced at 3 euros. In Lielvarde, Toms Antons and Santa Kasparsone will perform at the Lielvarde Cultural Center at 19:00 p.m., featuring guest appearances by the mixed choir Lacplesis and saxophonist Madara Bartulane.
Events continue on September 20 with a weaving masterclass at the Krape People’s House at 11:00 a.m., requiring a 35-euro participation fee. The Ogre Cultural Center will screen the animated film Kepu patrula: Dinozauru filma at 11:00 a.m. Finally, Vairis Nartiss will present the instrumental comedy Ieput man at the Tome People’s House at 16:00 p.m., with an admission fee of 5 euros.
