A forensic accounting report estimates the economic loss to the state at $10,643,278.98.
During the preliminary hearing, the judge reviewed evidence, declared Gutiérrez in default, and ordered the issuance of an arrest warrant.
Gutiérrez remains a fugitive from justice.
