Sándorfalva suffered a 1-0 defeat against BKV Előre in the eighth round of the NB III. South-East group football championship. The match, held in front of 200 spectators, was decided by a single goal scored just before halftime.
The decisive moment occurred in the 44th minute when a turnover in the midfield by Sándorfalva player Zalán Horváth allowed BKV Előre’s Kerék to score from 20 meters out, curling the ball into the top left corner. Despite Sándorfalva maintaining possession for much of the match, the team struggled to create significant scoring opportunities, with key passes frequently failing to connect.
Sándorfalva coach Zsolt Siha acknowledged the result, stating that the visiting team deserved the win. He expressed concern regarding his team’s performance, noting that BKV Előre outperformed them in both effort and skill.
Following the result, BKV Előre moved off the bottom of the league table. The new last-place team in the South-East group is SZVSE, which has two points, while Sándorfalva remains just above them with three points.
