New Caledonian cyclist Rayann Lacheny secured his third Tour Tahiti Nui title on Saturday, September 19, 2026, following the conclusion of the race’s final stage on the island of Huahine. This victory marks Lacheny’s third consecutive win in the event, adding to his previous successes in 2023 and 2024.
Lacheny maintained his lead throughout the final 97-kilometer stage, finishing ahead of Grégory Durando, who took second place, and Paul Roy, who finished third in the general classification. Lacheny attributed his performance to the collective strength and cohesion of the New Caledonian team.
The final stage in Huahine was won by Tahitian rider Kahiri Endeler, who prevailed in a sprint finish among a group of eight leading riders. Endeler, who also secured the points classification jersey, finished fifth in the overall general classification. Other notable performances included Mehdi Gabrillargues, who placed sixth overall and won the master classification, and Sandra Gayral, who claimed victory in the women’s tour.
The 2026 edition of the race featured 51 classified riders in the men’s category. The event concluded with a prize pool of 1,000,000 Pacific francs distributed among the top performers. Participants and organizers noted that the competitive level of the tour serves as a precursor to the upcoming 2027 Pacific Games.
