Trinidad and Tobago soca artiste Benjai, whose real name is Rodney Le Blanc, has issued a public apology after a recent social media post sparked backlash and offended some of his followers.
In a video message addressing the controversy, Benjai sought to clarify his intentions and acknowledged the reaction his post had generated.
“My intention was not to offend anyone,” the artiste said.
Benjai explained that his message was not intended to promote division or disrespect, stressing instead that he remains committed to encouraging love and unity.
The soca veteran’s response comes after criticism surrounding the original post circulated online, prompting discussion among social media users.
