Ziggo outage leaves Dutch businesses without internet

**Ziggo Internet Outage Affects Business Customers in the Netherlands**

*Amsterdam, 29 August 2026* – Dutch cable operator Ziggo reported an outage that has left a number of its business customers without internet access. The disruption, which began on Sunday 24 August, is attributed to a defect in certain Ubee brand modems used by the provider.

According to a Ziggo spokesperson, the problem appears to be limited to a specific batch of modems, and the company has not disclosed the exact number of affected businesses. The provider said the only remedy is to replace the faulty equipment. Ziggo is contacting the impacted customers directly to arrange a replacement as soon as possible and has deployed additional technicians and resources to accelerate the resolution.

The Dutch news outlet NOS cited the same source, confirming that the outage is linked to a modem defect. Independent monitoring sites, including AlleStoringen and the technology forum Tweakers, have reported that the issue may have arisen after a recent firmware update to the Ubee devices.

Ziggo has not provided further details on the cause of the defect or an estimated timeline for full restoration of service. Customers have been advised to await communication from the provider regarding the replacement schedule.
