Travelers at Dubai and Abu Dhabi airports experienced a series of flight delays and cancellations on Thursday, September 10, 2026. While most carriers continue to operate at near-full capacity, several airlines reported disruptions affecting routes to Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, India, and other international destinations.
At Dubai International Airport, Airblue reported the cancellation of flight PA 410 from Lahore, while other services from the airline faced delays, including a four-hour and 22-minute delay for flight PA 810 from Multan. SpiceJet flight SG 5155 from Amritsar was delayed by nearly five hours. Emirates and Flydubai also reported multiple delays, with Emirates flight EK 345 from Kuala Lumpur delayed by three hours and 33 minutes, and Flydubai flight FZ 874 from Taif delayed by two hours and 11 minutes.
Zayed International Airport in Abu Dhabi also saw disruptions. Etihad Airways reported several delays, including flight EY405 from Bangkok, which was delayed by two hours and 32 minutes, and EY154 from Vienna, delayed by two hours and seven minutes. Additionally, Air Arabia experienced delays on flights from Kathmandu, Tbilisi, and Tashkent. Jazeera Airways cancelled flight J9135 from Kuwait, and Air India Express cancelled flight IX639 from Tiruchirappalli.
Airlines have advised passengers to monitor their flight status regularly through official airline websites. Despite the current disruptions, some carriers have provided updates regarding future operations. Lufthansa announced plans to gradually resume flight connections to Dubai starting in late October 2026, aiming for up to 36 weekly flights at peak operations. Wizz Air confirmed it will resume flights to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Jeddah, and Amman. Conversely, United Airlines has extended its suspension of flights to the UAE until March 2027.
