Tipperary woman who cycled 160km for hospice honoured with national award

Bridget Landy, a resident of Tipperary, raised €22,000 for South Tipperary Hospice after completing a 160‑kilometre cycle ride.

Landy said she was inspired to undertake the challenge by the night nurses who cared for her father during his illness.

The Independent reported that Landy was honoured with a national award for her fundraising efforts.
