The Kiwi was 10th heading into the final lap, before powering home with a scorching finish.

New Zealand mountain biker Sam Gaze secured a victory at the UCI Mountain Bike World Series event held in Utah. Gaze entered the final lap of the race in 10th position before executing a late surge to overtake the field and claim the win.
