Dani Söderblom, a Finnish YouTuber who has been described as a “harassment‑tube” personality, was the focus of a television program that aired on TV1 at 22:11 and on the streaming service Areena. The program, titled Perjantai‑dokkarin: Suomen vihatuin tubettaja (“Friday Doctor: Finland’s Most Hated YouTuber”), featured Söderblom’s own defense of his actions and his claims of being mistreated. Söderblom has been active on public television and online since last year and again this fall. He has admitted to provoking people in public places, creating situations that he claims are harassing and then monetising the reactions on his own channel. According to the program, his actions have targeted a range of people, including library patrons and shoppers. He says he follows a personal moral code, though he does not disclose its details. In the broadcast, Söderblom stated: “It’s a ridiculous argument that I’m a bad person just because I’m looking for views. Business is business.” He added that no one should be harassed, a claim that contradicts the experiences of several people who say they have been harassed by him. He does not see himself as a harasser but rather as a misunderstood victim, saying: “I think a lot of bad things happen online that are worse than what I do. Still, I am at the centre of it, and I am Finland’s most hated YouTuber.” Söderblom also discussed the comments he has received that threaten to hack him, describing them as “excessive.” He noted that many people dismiss the issue as mere talk. The program highlighted that he has practiced combat sports throughout his life. The program was produced by Yle, which noted that this was the first time it had seen a figure like Sean Ricks’ Perjantai‑dokkarin in its coverage of Finland’s most controversial online personalities.
