SN Aboitiz Power-Magat (SNAP-Magat) showcased the long-term outcomes of its community development initiatives during its annual Host Communities’ Forum, which took place in Banaue, Ifugao, and Santiago City, Isabela. The forums were attended by approximately 153 representatives from local government units across Ifugao, Isabela, and Nueva Vizcaya.
Daniel Icasiano, SNAP General Manager and Group Chief Executive, stated that the company evaluates its success based on its ability to foster lasting, positive change for local residents. He highlighted the company’s ongoing investments in education and environmental conservation as key components of this strategy.
According to company data, the Tertiary Scholarships Program has supported 71 scholars to date, resulting in 37 graduates. For the 2026–2027 academic year, 23 students are currently enrolled in the program. Regarding environmental efforts, SNAP-Magat reported that between 2019 and 2024, it restored 34.3 hectares of rice terraces, reforested over 100 hectares of land, and established five hectares of agroforestry farms in Ifugao. The company plans to continue its watershed protection and rice terrace restoration projects through 2027.
Local officials reaffirmed their commitment to the partnership during the events. Rosemarie Lindawan, Chief Administrative Officer for Ifugao, speaking on behalf of Governor Jerry Dalipog, pledged continued support for the company’s operations. Representatives from Nueva Vizcaya and the municipality of Ramon also expressed appreciation for the corporate programs implemented throughout their 19-year collaboration with the firm.
