Qui rendra justice aux propriétaires de Kizingwe ?

Property owners in the Kizingwe area of Burundi are reporting ongoing delays in accessing their land, seven years after a ruling by the Special Court for Land and Other Assets (CSTB) confirmed their ownership rights.

According to reports, the beneficiaries of the court decision have yet to take possession of their plots. The situation has been further complicated by recent government actions, as the state has reportedly allocated 50 hectares of the disputed land for other purposes while the original owners continue to wait for the enforcement of the judicial decision.

The Kizingwe land dispute has remained a point of contention for several years, with affected individuals seeking clarity on when the CSTB ruling will be fully implemented to allow them to occupy their property.
