PT Pegadaian (Persero) has successfully renewed its ISO 22301:2019 certification for its Business Continuity Management System (BCMS). The certification was issued by the British Standards Institution (BSI) as an independent verification of the company’s operational resilience and ability to maintain services during critical situations.
Dwi Hadi Atmaka, Corporate Secretary of PT Pegadaian, stated that the certification process is conducted regularly to ensure the company remains prepared for various operational challenges. According to Atmaka, the implementation of the BCMS framework allows the company to maintain secure and efficient access to pawn services for the public, even during crises or extraordinary conditions.
The ISO 22301:2019 standard provides a framework for organizations to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruptive incidents. Rinaldi Lubis, Regional Head of PT Pegadaian Kanwil IV Balikpapan, noted that the certification reflects a broader commitment to integrating risk awareness and operational readiness into the company’s corporate culture.
Lubis emphasized that the regional office focuses on ensuring that human resources, business processes, and infrastructure are prepared to handle potential disruptions. This approach is intended to protect customer assets and maintain service continuity across the company’s network, particularly within the Kalimantan region.
Since its establishment in 1901, Pegadaian has continued to evolve its service offerings, including its bullion services, while maintaining its focus on the national gold ecosystem. The company maintains that the certification serves as a foundation for its ongoing efforts to adapt to changing business environments while ensuring the reliability of its services for the public.
