Main Points
PT Patra Drilling Contractor (PDC) has launched a six‑month internship program for recent high‑school graduates in partnership with the Jakarta East City Labor, Transmigration and Energy Department (Sudinakertransgi). The program, funded by the 2026 Jakarta provincial budget (APBD DKI Jakarta), will run from May to October 2026 and will host three participants. The interns will be placed in three key functions within PDC: Information Technology (IT), Supply Chain Management (SCM), and Corporate Secretary. Their assignments will range from office administration and IT support to visual communication design. The curriculum, developed by PDC’s Human Capital team, aligns with the Indonesian National Standard Competency (SKKNI) and the specific needs of each function. Disnaker Jakarta East serves as the organizer and facilitator of the program, while PDC handles selection, curriculum design, and ongoing mentorship. Each intern will receive guidance from a dedicated mentor who will assign tasks and conduct regular evaluations. In addition to technical skills, the program emphasizes soft skills such as effective communication, cross‑functional collaboration, problem solving, workplace culture, and safety practices in the energy sector. Participants will receive a stipend sourced from the APBD DKI Jakarta and will be covered by BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. At the end of the internship, interns will present their learning outcomes and, if they meet the program requirements, will receive an official certificate from PDC. Human Capital Manager Muhammad Ichsan said the internship is “not just a formality.” “We want participants to gain skills, understand professional workplace culture, and build confidence as they transition into the real workforce,” he told reporters on Thursday, 29 October. PDC plans to expand the program in 2027, targeting 5 to 7 interns, and will review functional needs to broaden the learning areas. The initiative aims to equip young graduates with practical experience and professional standards, enhancing their competitiveness in the job market.
