The Minister of Works and Transport, Fred Byamukama, has issued a directive to China Railway Seventh Group Company Limited (CRSG) to finalize construction on the 47-kilometer Masindi-Biiso road by February 2027.
Minister Byamukama delivered the order on Thursday during an inspection of the project site. The road is part of a network of critical infrastructure projects currently under development to support the oil sector in Uganda’s Bunyoro sub-region.
The project has faced significant delays, prompting the government to set a firm deadline for the contractor to complete the remaining works.
