**Luxair to Discuss Potential Direct Flight to the United States with United Airlines**
*Luxembourg –* Luxembourg’s flag carrier, Luxair, announced that its chief executive, Gilles Feith, will enter negotiations with United Airlines to explore the feasibility of a direct service between Luxembourg’s Findel Airport and Newark Liberty International Airport in the United States.
Feith indicated that the discussions will focus on possible cooperation arrangements that could enable a nonstop connection between the two airports. The talks are intended to assess operational, commercial and regulatory considerations, with no commitment made at this stage.
A direct Luxembourg‑Newark route would add to Luxair’s existing network of European destinations and could provide United Airlines with an additional European gateway.
