The town of Los Baños celebrated its 411th founding anniversary and the 25th Bañamos Festival on 17 September 2026. The festivities commenced with a civic parade held at Olivares Plaza.
This year’s celebration was organized under the theme, “Honoring Heritage, Sustaining Traditions, Rekindling the Los Baños Spirit.”
The parade featured a variety of floats representing local organizations, including the Los Baños FIRE LGBTQIA+ Association, the Los Baños Ornamental Vendors Association, the Philippine Rice Research Institute, and the University of the Philippines Open University. Other participants included local agricultural groups, women’s organizations, and various barangay representatives.
The event was attended by a broad cross-section of the community, including local government employees, representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government, the Philippine National Police, the Bureau of Fire Protection, and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology. Members of senior citizen groups, persons with disabilities, cooperatives, and various civil society and non-governmental organizations also participated.
Musical accompaniment for the parade was provided by several groups, including the Tribu C-Jan Drum Beaters, the Provincial Band and Bugle, the Salcedo Tribe Drum Beaters, the PNP Band, the Hilaris Tribe Drum Beaters, the Calamba City Brass Band, the Martiam Group, the CPP Drum and Lyre, and the Tiamzon Tribe Group.
