Jamaican Athletes Gary Card and Shanoya Douglas Win Silver Medals at World U20 Championships
EUGENE, Oregon – At the World Athletics Under-20 Championships, held at Hayward Field, Jamaican athletes Gary Card and Shanoya Douglas secured silver medals in the men’s and women’s 100m finals on Thursday night. This achievement marks Jamaica’s first medals in the competition.
The silver medal wins by Card and Douglas have placed Jamaica in ninth position on the medals table. The World Athletics Under-20 Championships are currently underway in Eugene, Oregon.
