IRGC Claims Major Strikes on U.S. Bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed on Monday that it launched large-scale missile and drone strikes against U.S. military bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait, in what it called an ‘eye-for-an-eye’ operation. According to state-affiliated Nour News Agency, the attacks targeted Prince Hassan Airbase in Jordan, Sheikh Isa Airbase in Bahrain, and Ali Al-Salem and Ahmed Al-Jaber Airbases in Kuwait. The IRGC said it struck fuel depots, ammunition storage, Patriot air defense systems, and a P-8 aircraft hangar. The operation comes just a day after U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) launched a wave of precision strikes across multiple locations in Iran, targeting air-defense systems, radar, and missile sites to protect the Strait of Hormuz. The IRGC warned against further U.S. interference in the strategic waterway, saying it ‘would not allow continued foreign military interference.’ CENTCOM confirmed the U.S. strikes, stating they were ordered by the Commander in Chief to hold Iran accountable for threatening civilian mariners and commercial vessels. The escalation marks a significant deterioration in regional security.
