„Grollen im Untergrund“: Leichtes Erdbeben im Raum Innsbruck verzeichnet

A minor earthquake occurred southeast of Innsbruck during the early hours of Monday. According to the Austrian Earthquake Service, GeoSphere Austria, the seismic event took place at 2:09 a.m. and registered a magnitude of 1.9.

The tremors were felt weakly by some residents in the area, with reports describing a rumbling sound from the ground. GeoSphere Austria stated that no damage to buildings has been reported, noting that damage is not expected from an earthquake of this intensity.

The agency has requested that members of the public who felt the tremors provide feedback regarding their observations. Reports can be submitted via the GeoSphere Austria website, the QuakeWatch Austria mobile application, or by mail to the Austrian Earthquake Service at Hohe Warte 38, 1190 Vienna.
