An elderly man was injured when a fire broke out in a two‑story wooden house in a narrow alley in Bangkok’s Bang Sue district early on Sunday morning.
The blaze started around 2 a.m. and quickly spread, completely destroying the residence and damaging a neighbouring home.
Emergency services responded to the scene and treated the injured man before transporting him to a hospital for further care.
Firefighters contained the fire after several hours of effort, preventing the flames from spreading to other nearby buildings.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the fire.
