El 22.5% de los hogares salvadoreños vive en pobreza

According to recent data, 22.5% of households in El Salvador are living in poverty. Carlos Acevedo, the former president of the Central Reserve Bank (BCR), stated on Monday that the monetary poverty rate for households in the country stands at 22.5%. Acevedo warned that extreme poverty has shown an increase in recent years, affecting approximately 500,000 Salvadorans who face severe difficulties in meeting their basic needs.
