Digicel customers in Trinidad and Tobago will face higher prices for several prepaid mobile plans from October 19, 2026, as the telecommunications provider introduces revised rates across its D’ Plans portfolio. In a notice to customers, Digicel said the changes follow an analysis of its mobile plans and changing conditions within the telecommunications industry. The company said the adjustments would allow it to continue investing in its network, technology and services. Under the new pricing, the D’ Lite Plan will cost TT$185, while customers renewing the plan will pay TT$175. The D’ Freedom Plan will carry a new price of TT$325, with a renewal price of TT$310. The D’ Freedom Plan with a 30GB add-on will cost TT$385, or TT$370 on renewal. Digicel’s D’ All In Plan will rise to TT$500, with a renewal price of TT$470. The D’ All In Plan with a 100GB add-on will cost TT$615, with renewals priced at TT$585. Shorter-duration plans are also affected. The D’ Weekly Flex Plan will cost TT$125, the D’ Weekly Classic Plan TT$150 and the Weekly Classic Plan with a 20GB add-on TT$170. The D’ Fortnight Plan will cost TT$208, with a TT$188 renewal price, while the Fortnight Plan with a 30GB add-on will cost TT$238 or TT$218 on renewal. The announcement has generated considerable reaction on social media, with some customers saying they may compare prices with competing providers following the adjustment. Others expressed frustration about increasing household telecommunications expenses. Digicel’s existing mobile terms provide for adjustments to the prices of its mobile service plans.
The new prepaid rates are VAT inclusive and are scheduled to take effect on October 19.
