China has strongly rejected allegations from the United States that Chinese artificial‑intelligence (AI) firms are systematically extracting proprietary capabilities from American AI models. The Chinese government described the claims as “unfounded.”

China’s statement comes just weeks before scheduled high‑level talks between the two countries on AI governance, during which both sides are expected to discuss regulatory frameworks and cooperation in the field of artificial intelligence.
