The bodies of two Kerala women who were killed in California are scheduled to arrive at Cochin International Airport on Monday morning. The victims have been identified as Anjana Hari, from Mudikode in Thrissur, and Ann Mary Mathew, from Kesavadasapuram in Thiruvananthapuram.
The incident occurred on August 28. Authorities have identified a woman named Anila, a friend of Anjana Hari and a native of Kottayam, as the suspect behind the two killings.
The repatriation process followed the completion of complex legal procedures, including post-mortem examinations, embalming, and the acquisition of necessary clearances from United States foreign affairs and immigration departments.
Upon arrival at the airport at approximately 8:00 a.m., the bodies will be received by family members. Anjana Hari’s remains will be transported to her residence in Mudikode, where funeral services are scheduled for Monday evening. Ann Mary Mathew’s remains will be taken to Kottayam, with funeral services set to take place on Tuesday at the St. Ignatius Church cemetery in Pannimattam.
