The facility has experienced a surge in demand for jet fuel following the February 28 start of the conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran, which caused significant disruptions to global energy supply chains. Looking ahead, Dangote plans to double the refinery’s processing capacity and intends to list the company on the Nigerian stock exchange to provide investment opportunities for the public.
Addressing concerns regarding market competition, Dangote rejected allegations that his business operations constitute a monopoly. He maintained that his primary objective is to foster economic growth across Africa and ensure the continent becomes less reliant on external resources.
