Deputy Prime Minister Hun Many, Minister of Civil Service and head of the working group for Kampong Speu province, hosted a ceremony on September 20, 2026, to honor students who achieved an A grade in the 2025-2026 high school diploma examinations. The event, held at the provincial Department of Education, Youth and Sport, also recognized volunteer teachers for their contributions to student success.
According to Kampong Speu Provincial Governor Chiam Chansophea, the province saw 5,222 students pass the 2025-2026 examinations out of 6,036 candidates, resulting in a pass rate of 86.51 percent. Among the successful candidates, 31 students earned an A grade.
During the ceremony, Hun Many presented each of the 31 students who achieved an A grade with a laptop and one million riel. Additionally, the three students with the highest scores in the province were each awarded a motorcycle. Financial incentives were also provided to high schools based on their overall pass rates, ranging from three million to 12 million riel, with an additional 500,000 riel provided for each student who achieved an A grade.
Hun Many praised the students for their dedication and emphasized the government’s commitment to education, particularly in developing human resources for the digital economy. He also encouraged educators and local authorities to support students who did not pass the examination, suggesting they pursue technical and vocational training to improve their future career prospects.
