Latin Guayza releases debut album “Sueño Caribeño” Santo Domingo, 2 November 2026 – Dominican rap collective Latin Guayza launched its first studio album, Sueño Caribeño, on 2 November. The 10‑track record features guest appearances from artists in the Dominican Republic, Colombia and Venezuela, and is described by the group as a “crónica de la isla contada desde abajo y a cuatro voces.” The following day, the collective premiered the album’s official visualizer on YouTube. The video presents a single, continuous clip that showcases the entire tracklist. Sueño Caribeño blends street‑level storytelling with a celebration of Caribbean pride, moving from technical rap to introspective themes. The group claims the album represents the strongest offering from the local scene and is ready to compete with rap from across Latin America and Spain. Production credits include group member Lafon, who produced, mixed and mastered the album, while Jotabit contributed two instrumentals. Recording sessions took place at The Guayza House in Santo Domingo and in Colombia. Featured collaborators include El Fother, Rubinsky RBK, Ada Zaïmah, School MC, Sebas Kuesta, Rapiam, Rocaiquielda, Trick‑V, Nutty and Freylean. “Para mí, este álbum es el pasaporte para sacar el rap dominicano del under,” said Lafon, MC and producer of Latin Guayza. “Sonidos pesados, samples bien seleccionados, temas sociales y skills. Latin Guayza no es moda: es trabajo constante y arte.” Founded in 2020, Latin Guayza—comprising Lafon, Jotazei, AJ Soul and Liri—has released 15 projects and performed 15 shows in the past two years, including the Traffi‑Fest in Medellín. The group plans to tour the country in early 2027 with the “Por Dentro de la Isla” tour. The album is available on Spotify and the visualizer can be viewed on YouTube.
