Venezuela and Saudi Arabia are exploring ways to deepen bilateral trade, particularly in the oil and mining sectors. Foreign Trade Minister Félix Plasencia held a videoconference with his Saudi counterpart, Majid Alkassabi, to discuss economic diversification and export cooperation.
In a post on his Instagram profile, Plasencia highlighted the need to intensify joint efforts to expand commercial exchanges across multiple categories, with emphasis on agriculture and mining. The talks come as Venezuela seeks to strengthen alternative trade partnerships amid ongoing economic challenges.
Plasencia also extended a formal invitation to Alkassabi to visit Venezuela, with the aim of identifying areas of mutual interest and strengthening binational cooperation. The Saudi minister’s attendance would mark a significant step in fostering closer ties between the two nations.
