Marcelo Sánchez, secretary general of the 6T in the Aragua state government, noted that officials are working with the Aragua Recicla institute to improve waste management, classification, and recycling processes.
In the town of Cuyagua, the event included the training of a new group of park rangers, described by officials as a foundational step for future environmental defense efforts. Ocumare de la Costa de Oro Mayor Wilmer Leal called for consistent environmental stewardship, noting that maintaining clean beaches is essential for both the local ecosystem and the regional tourism economy.
Delia Torrealba, the regional authority for tourism, highlighted the role of service providers in educating visitors on proper waste disposal. Officials noted that ongoing educational efforts have contributed to a decrease in the volume of waste collected during these annual events compared to previous years.
