**Uzbekistan Rises 30 Places in Global Peace Index**
Uzbekistan has advanced 30 positions in the 2026 Global Peace Index, reaching 37th place out of 163 countries evaluated. The report, published by the Institute for Economics & Peace (IEP), marks a significant improvement from the country’s 67th-place ranking in 2025.
According to the index, Uzbekistan achieved a score of 1.726 points. With this result, the country is now ranked as the most peaceful nation in Central Asia.
Other regional rankings noted in the report include Kazakhstan, which placed 44th, and Tajikistan.
