**Kuala Lumpur, 6 September 2026** – The 2026 AMNO (Amno) General Assembly (PAU) scheduled for 9–12 September will not include an invitation to the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition.
According to Dato Sri Dr. Ahmad Saheed Hamidi, AMNO’s leader, the decision was made after the party’s recent engagement with the PAS (Parti Islam Se-Malaysia) leadership. “Last week, at the PAS 72nd General Assembly in Kota Bharu, PAS extended an invitation to AMNO. In response, AMNO extended an invitation to the PAS leadership,” said Dr. Saheed.
The announcement comes as AMNO prepares for its upcoming PAU, which will be held in Kuala Lumpur. No further details have been released regarding the agenda or other participating parties.
