The Anti-Narcotics Department of the Jordanian Public Security Directorate has reported handling 119 drug-related cases across the kingdom during the eighth week of its intensified campaign against crystal methamphetamine. According to a statement released by the Public Security spokesperson on Sunday, the cases included 29 incidents involving the trafficking and promotion of the substance, alongside 90 cases of personal consumption.
Authorities confirmed the arrest of 55 individuals suspected of trafficking and promotion, and 135 individuals suspected of consumption, bringing the total number of arrests to 190. During these operations, security forces seized 0.293 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine.
The Public Security Directorate stated that the campaign will continue with strict enforcement to combat the risks associated with the substance and to prevent related criminal activities. Officials emphasized the importance of public cooperation and urged citizens to report any information regarding drug-related activities to the emergency number 911, assuring that all reports will be handled with complete confidentiality.
