The Government, in partnership with World Vision, has commissioned a newly built classroom block and piped water system at Malunku Primary School in Lupane district, Matabeleland North. The project, valued at US$72,230, includes a fully furnished classroom block and a nutrition garden supported by the water system.
This joint venture aims to improve the learning environment and access to clean water for students and the surrounding community. The investment addresses long-standing infrastructure gaps in rural schools.
Officials said the project is part of broader efforts to enhance education quality and food security in the region. The nutrition garden is expected to supplement school feeding programs.
World Vision contributed funding and technical expertise, while the Government provided oversight and additional resources. The completion marks a milestone in local development.
