Unstop, an Indian talent engagement and hiring platform, announced on September 17 that it has entered into an agreement to acquire PerspectAI. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
PerspectAI utilizes a combination of game science, data science, and people science to evaluate human capability. Its platform uses artificial intelligence, psychometrics, and cognitive and behavioral sciences to assess how individuals solve problems, communicate, and learn. The company currently serves enterprise clients including Tata Sons, Aditya Birla Capital, Swiggy, and Motilal Oswal.
Unstop intends to integrate PerspectAI’s technology into its existing platform to provide employers with deeper talent intelligence. The company plans to offer these tools to its customer base, which includes campus recruiters, lateral hiring teams, and large enterprises. The integration is also expected to allow students and professionals on the Unstop platform to build profiles that incorporate scientifically derived indicators of capability and potential alongside traditional credentials.
Following the completion of the acquisition, the PerspectAI team, including its engineering, quality, and applied psychology staff, will join Unstop. Jignesh Talasila, co-founder and CEO of PerspectAI, is set to lead Unstop’s expansion into the government and education sectors. Suraj Vanka, co-founder and CTO of PerspectAI, will join the Unstop product leadership team.
Ankit, founder and CEO of Unstop, stated that the acquisition is intended to provide the company’s community of more than 32 million students and professionals with new methods for demonstrating potential. Jignesh Talasila noted that the move provides an opportunity to scale their existing technology to a broader audience.
