Meanwhile, investigators are probing whether Tuesday’s killing of Shaquille Charles is connected to Saturday’s triple murder at the Unipet gas station in Laventille. Charles, an employee of Parts World, was shot dead in the car park of a business along the Eastern Main Road in Barataria. He resided at Mon Repos Road, Morvant.
The potential link between the two incidents underscores the growing concern over gang violence in the country. Police have not yet released further details on the investigations, but assured the public that every effort is being made to bring those responsible to justice.
