TSTT board shrinks to three after second director resignation in four months

Just over a year after a five-member board of directors was appointed to the Telecommunications Services of Trinidad and Tobago (TSTT), the company’s board has been reduced to three members following the resignation of director Nadira Prabhudial.

The announcement of Prabhudial’s resignation was made today by TSTT’s Corporate Secretary, Viveka Pargass. Prabhudial was appointed to the board on June 11, 2025, alongside chairman Kern Dass and directors Randy Ramtahal, Cassilina Kelshall, and Kyle Maloney.

Maloney subsequently resigned from the board on July 3 this year. Prabhudial’s departure leaves TSTT’s board comprising only Dass and directors Ramtahal and Kelshall. The reasons for the resignations of Maloney and Prabhudial have not been disclosed.

In a communication following Prabhudial’s resignation, Pargass advised TSTT executives to ensure that only the names of current directors are affixed to letters and official documents requiring the signatures or identification of members of the company’s board.

The rapid turnover at TSTT’s top level raises questions about governance and stability at the state-owned telecommunications provider, though no official explanations have been offered for the departures.
