The Trinidad and Tobago Meteorological Service issued an official weather forecast on Friday, August 21, 2026, valid for the region including Trinidad, Tobago, and Grenada. The forecast predicts variably cloudy skies with scattered showers and a medium chance of thunderstorm activity, which stands at 60%. These conditions are expected to gradually improve by the late afternoon, although some showers may linger.

Residents are advised to remain cautious as gusty winds and street or flash flooding are likely near heavy showers or thunderstorms. The forecast also highlights that the sea state will be moderate, with wave heights ranging from 1.5 to 2.0 meters in open waters, while sheltered areas may experience waves near 1.0 meter, becoming choppy near showers.

In contrast, the Lesser Antilles will enjoy mostly fair weather, albeit with slight haze. There will be brisk, isolated showers, while nighttime conditions are expected to be fair with a gentle breeze.

Temperature forecasts for Piarco and Crown Point suggest a warm day ahead, with minimum temperatures recorded last night at 25.2°C and 25.1°C, respectively, and both areas expecting a maximum temperature of 29°C.
