Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf has stated his intention to compete for a spot in the national Test cricket team ahead of the upcoming two-match series against Sri Lanka. The series is scheduled to take place in November.

During that series, Pakistan’s pace attack struggled to match the performance of England’s bowlers, with Mohammad Abbas serving as the team’s leading wicket-taker with 13 scalps.
Rauf expressed a desire to use the time before the upcoming tours to improve his performance in the longer format. He stated that he intends to utilize the preparation period to work on his game ahead of the matches against Sri Lanka and England.
