The Director General of the Sudan Cotton Company, Lieutenant General Dr. Nasreddin Abdel Fattah, on Thursday inspected the company’s external facilities to review progress on rehabilitating war-damaged assets under the company’s recovery plan. During the visit, he was briefed on projects being implemented by the Engineering Unit in preparation for the current agricultural season and commended the work achieved.

Abdel Fattah said work is proceeding according to schedule and pledged financial support to sustain future rehabilitation activities. He toured the Seed Preparation and Multiplication Unit, where he reviewed maintenance of the delinting machine and progress in rehabilitating the unit ahead of seed preparation and the upcoming season.

The Director General also inspected medical cotton production at the Cotton Industries Unit, noting that the first contracted batch had already been delivered. Later, he met with the National Audit Chamber to review audit progress and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to facilitating oversight to improve operational performance.

Commenting on internal administrative measures, Abdel Fattah said recent staff rotations and leave approvals were carried out per employee requests. He added that official assignments and related allowances will require Director General approval based on operational value, as part of strengthening financial and administrative discipline.
