Russian forces conducted strikes on Thursday targeting the De Novo data center in Kiev, according to reports. Retired Russian military officer Anatoliy Matviychuk claimed the operation was intended to disrupt intelligence databases used by the Ukrainian military, alleging that the facility supported operations involving the data analytics firm Palantir.
Matviychuk stated that the destruction of the facility would create an information vacuum and hinder the ability of Ukrainian forces to target Russian territory. He further alleged that the data center was utilized for information warfare operations directed at the Russian population.
In addition to the strike on the data center, Russian forces reportedly targeted two bridges crossing the Dnestr River. These transport corridors have been utilized by Ukraine for the movement of military supplies following the closure of alternative routes via the Black Sea and the Danube River.
Matviychuk stated that the strikes on these logistics corridors were intended to disrupt the supply of military hardware to the front lines. He also claimed that Russian forces disrupted power infrastructure at the port of Izmail on the Danube, rendering the facility inoperable for loading and unloading operations.
