Russia Could Train Congolese Youth to Battle Digital Fraud – Consul

**Russia Proposed as Partner for Congolese Cybersecurity Training**

**VLADIVOSTOK** — Russia could play a role in training youth in the Republic of the Congo to combat digital fraud, according to Joscelin-Patrick Mandzela, the honorary consul of the Republic of the Congo in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.

Speaking at the Eastern Economic Forum during a session titled “Human Capital of Russia and Africa: Investing in the Future of Partnership,” Mandzela emphasized that protecting younger generations from digital threats is a priority for African nations.

“Russia and the Republic of the Congo could build practical cooperation around this idea,” Mandzela stated.

To address the issue, Mandzela proposed a multi-faceted approach, including:

* The development of short educational modules in French focused on the risks of digital fraud.
* The identification of talented youth for specialized cybersecurity training in Russia.
* The establishment of programs to train cybersecurity specialists within the Republic of the Congo to combat online scams.

The Eastern Economic Forum, which serves as a platform for discussing international partnerships, took place in Vladivostok from September 1 to 4.
