**Icelandic and U.S. Emergency Responders Conduct Joint Attack‑Response Drill**

Reykjavík – On Sunday, emergency responders from Iceland and the United States carried out a joint civil protection exercise at the security area in Keflavík. The drill simulated a scenario resembling an attack on Iceland, focusing on the coordinated response to casualties.

The exercise required participants to transport and provide medical care for ten individuals affected by the simulated incident. Approximately 200 personnel from various agencies took part in the training, which included both medical and logistical components.

The drill was intended to enhance cooperation between Icelandic and U.S. emergency services and to improve preparedness for large‑scale emergencies. No actual incident occurred, and the exercise was purely a training operation.
