Queen’s Park Cricket Club (QPCC) stalwarts Dwayne Bravo, Kieron Pollard and Sunil Narine were celebrated and honoured on Monday, as the iconic Trini Posse Stand at the Queen’s Park Oval in St Clair, Port-of-Spain, was officially renamed the **Bravo, Pollard, Narine Stand**.
The ceremony took place ahead of the Trinbago Knight Riders’ crucial Caribbean Premier League (CPL) clash against the Guyana Amazon Warriors.
The renaming recognises the outstanding contributions of Bravo, Pollard and Narine to Trinidad and Tobago and West Indies cricket, as well as their long-standing association with QPCC and their impact on the regional and international game.
All three players have become household names through their performances for the West Indies and in franchise cricket around the world, while also playing major roles in the success and identity of the Trinbago Knight Riders.
The newly named Bravo, Pollard, Narine Stand now permanently links three of Trinidad and Tobago’s most recognisable modern cricketers with one of the country’s most historic sporting venues.
The honour was particularly fitting as it came during the CPL season, with the Queen’s Park Oval once again serving as a major gathering point for local cricket supporters.
For Bravo, Pollard and Narine, the naming represents recognition at home after careers that have taken Trinidad and Tobago cricket to audiences across the world.
