President Vladimir Putin is set to visit Omsk, Russia, for the 22nd Russia-Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum, according to a Kremlin statement.
The forum, which began Friday, focuses on building a global logistics ecosystem between the two neighbours. Putin will meet with Kazakh President Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev, continuing high-level dialogue.
Earlier, Putin toured the Irkutsk Aviation Plant as part of ongoing discussions on aviation industry development. Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov confirmed the president’s schedule.
Interregional forums have been held annually since 2003. The last such event in Omsk took place in 2019.
